Rafan Hasan is the founder of The Angiogenesis Project, a student-led biotech initiative focused on exploring new approaches to cancer treatment through tumor angiogenesis research. His work centers on understanding how blood vessel growth supports tumor progression, with a specific focus on VEGF-A isoforms, vascular normalization, and targeted anti-angiogenic strategies.

As a young researcher and biology enthusiast, Rafan started the project to turn advanced cancer biology research into a real innovation pathway. His goal is to bridge scientific learning, startup thinking, and translational medicine by building a platform that investigates how more precise angiogenesis control could improve future cancer therapies.

Through The Angiogenesis Project, Rafan is working to develop a stronger foundation for research, partnerships, validation, and future lab-based development. His vision is to grow the project from a student research initiative into a serious biotech startup focused on solving one of oncology's biggest challenges: stopping tumors from building the blood supply they need to grow.
